About Candice

My name is Candice Snyder. I am a fifty-something wife, mother and retired dental hygienist. I was introduced to Monat when a friend invited me to hear about this company for a Wine and Wash Party at her home. I saw one of the women before her wash and style, and then after, and her results were amazing!

Attending my friend’s event, made me realize a couple of things. One, I had been in direct sales before and had made so many friends(that company sold and decided not to have representatives anymore. I was with them for 10 years!). I really missed my friendships that opportunity gave me. Yet, I felt healthy hair and healthier products was more in line with my dental hygiene background. I knew women who struggled with their hair. I knew I could really help them.

I also know that when you have a bad hair day it can set the tone for your day. I remember one of my sons telling me, “Mom, stop wearing sweatpants and putting your hair in a ponytail”. I was a soccer mom, wasn’t this how I was supposed to look? It made me realize if my son is noticing how I look, who else is noticing? Since that time I’ve always strived to look and feel my best. What would it mean to you to look and feel your best?

Since I joined Monat in 2018, this company has become the fastest growing haircare company in the world(just ask Siri!), and has expanded into skincare and wellness products, too. Monat’s philosophy is ‘Building Beautiful Lives’. Start taking care of the inside, and it will reflect on the outside.

Another huge part of Monat is Monat Gratitude. An entire division of the company dedicated to giving back to causes across the globe, and I have the honor of being one of their Gratitude Ambassadors. This means I get to represent Monat for their give-back efforts in the communities, supporting the causes that are near and dear to my heart. I like to say …. Monat is so much more than shampoo

MONAT GRATITUDE

A huge part of Monat is gratitude and giving back. From the time I was a little girl, helping others was ingrained in my growing up. My parents had huge hearts and were always helping others. From being a Brownie/Girl Scout, a Keyette in high school, being a dental hygienist, having Toys for Tots holiday parties after 911 for several years, volunteering at an animal shelter, volunteering in my boys classes and running a reading program called “The Little Red School House”, and then creating Team Mo and participating in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks(AFSP-American Foundation for Suicide Prevention), living in gratitude and helping others is who I am.

Monat Gratitude is an entire entity in itself at Monat. They tie community projects to everything we do and what’s going on in the world. Just to name a few-From raising funds for education and equipment for first responders after the shooting in Las Vegas, sending supplies to areas devastated by hurricanes, and shutting down production to make hand sanitizer at the beginning of the pandemic to be included for free with every order that shipped, it is who Monat is and what they are all about. Also, Monat encourages all their market partners to give back in some way to all of our own events, too.

Over the past year, I have also been one of Monat’s Gratitude Ambassadors. What does this mean? It means embracing the spirit of making a difference, sharing Monat Gratitude initiatives, participating in volunteer and give back efforts, being a liaison between Monat and my local communities.

Some of the give back efforts I’ve participated and/or spear-headed include the following:

The Purple Leash Project-helps domestic violence victims and their pets escape and heal together. We raised funds and had a walk with our dogs. The money raised goes to building safe havens where domestic violence victims can take their pets with them. Most victims won’t leave because they can’t take their pets.

Let’s Get Baked-a virtual baking event my team and I created to raise funds for our local chapter of Feeding America. We had celebrity baker and two-time Chopped winner, Teah Evans, lead us in baking holiday cookies.

A.I.R. (Attitudes In Reverse)-helps educate and break the stigma of mental health issues, including anti-bullying and suicide prevention plans. We collected necessities for those in mental health programs & recovery during the holiday season

Big Brothers Big Sisters-presented a check for over $6000 from funds raised through the sales of one of Monat’s Gratitude products.

The Michael Hoefflin Foundation-collected gift cards and gifts families could use while a child was going through cancer treatment.

The Mackenzie Blair Foundation-collected books and journals on grief so the foundation could put them in care packages to families who lost a child to unknown causes.

Light to Earth Sanctuary-a safe oasis for single mothers and children seeking emotional and spiritual restoration on a beautiful 27 acre farm. Raised funds to help them obtain kitchen equipment.

Center for Great Expectations-a safe place for homeless pregnant and/or parenting women and adolescents, men and their children providing support in all areas including trauma, neglect, abuse as well as mental health and substance abuse. My team and I held a fundraraiser to provide a day at the beach for about 20 women and their children. Some who had never been to the beach before.

Spread The Word Nevada-while at the Monat Reunion  in Las Vegas(April 2021) we helped clean, separate, and prepare books to be donated to underprivileged communities for their reading program.
Even when my term as a Monat Gratitude Ambassador is up, I will continue to help, support and give back to all the causes I am most passionate about. If you have a cause that you are passionate about, I would love to hear about it. My big dream is to one day be an angel investor.

Thank you so much for recommending the Smoothing Shampoo and Smoothing Deep Conditioner! I love it! This makes my hair feel wonderful. And my stylist keeps telling me how healthy my hair is! She swears it’s thicker! – Lisa W.

Purifying Scalp Scrub is awesome! That finally took away the issue I was having at the crown of my head with one use! Skin care is going well so far-I feel like I am doing something good for my skin consistently which I needed to do. -Pat B.

I don’t know how to describe it. Monat makes my hair feel really nice and healthy, but adding the Purifying Scalp Scrub just took it to the next level! – Kaitlyn W
